1. Acceptance

By using Simpan, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What Simpan is

Simpan is a household inventory app: photograph what's going into a storage box, get a suggested label, print a QR code, and scan it later to see what's inside. It works locally on your device without an account, and syncs across devices and household members once you sign in with Google.

3. Accounts

Signing in requires a Google account. You're responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure — anyone with access to it can access your Simpan data. You must be old enough to legally agree to these terms in your jurisdiction to create an account.

4. Your content

You own the photos, labels, and descriptions you create in Simpan. By using the app, you give us permission to store and process that content only as needed to run the service — syncing it across your devices, sharing it with your household members, and (if you turn it on) sending photos to an AI provider to suggest labels.

5. AI-suggested labels

AI-suggested titles and descriptions are generated automatically and can be wrong, irrelevant, or occasionally strange. They're a starting point, not a verified description of your belongings — review them before relying on them, and edit or delete anything inaccurate.

6. Households

Anyone you invite into a household can see, edit, and delete everything in it — every box, item, and photo. Only invite people you actually want to share that access with. A household's owner can remove members and delete the household; deleting a household deletes its data for everyone in it.

7. Acceptable use

Use Simpan for its intended purpose — tracking your own household's belongings. Don't use it to store or share content that's illegal, infringes someone else's rights, or that you don't have the right to share with the rest of your household.

8. Termination

You can stop using Simpan and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Simpan is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We aren't liable for lost data, incorrect AI suggestions, or any other damages arising from your use of the app, to the fullest extent the law allows.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
